Squirrels are furiously gathering acorn’s. Hummingbird activity seemed diminished today. The climate is continuously wreaking havoc with hurricane activity and abnormal weather patterns are an everyday occurrence.

All of that, but mostly, I’ve got an aching in my bones. Not a figurative ache. An honest to God prognosticator of an ache.

I stood under a neighbors tree Monday afternoon, as a stiff breeze washed bushels of leaves from it’s branches, whirling and cascading down around us. It snatched my attention from some hum-drum conversation, and looking up with sudden fascination, I had my first cognizant realization that fall is upon us. …..and winter is coming.
