My ex-husband, and father of my son, Clay Jones, won the 2022 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Cartoon Award yesterday! This prestigious award is sometimes referred to as the “poor man’s Pulitzer” and is the achievement of a lifetime. Kenny and I are very proud of Clay and would like to extend our congratulations, and help share his glory to the world.

Clay is a nationally syndicated and freelance editorial cartoonist for CNN, with a career spanning over thirty years. You can see his current and past editorial cartoons, on his website at claytoonz.com

Below is a video of the presentation of the Award in Editorial Cartooning yesterday.

Previous awards won by Clay, include his position as finalist in the Herblock Award in 2019

Update: June 24, 2022
